Event Hosting in the Ministry of Internal Affairs​

Overview​

This guide establishes the standard procedures and job responsibilities of Event Hosts/Directors in the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Your job responsibilities include: planning events, coordinating resource distribution, and hosting activities in StateCraft

Event Hosting Protocol​

Prerequisites​

When hosting an event, the following must be completed: ​

1. A secured venue/area which has been approved by an Events Director
2. Confirmation that the event does not contradict departmental policy (e.g., no partisan events or ones that bolster yourself/your businesses)
3. Approximately 1-3 Event Hosts
4. Approval from the Minister/Deputy Minister

Tools and Special Permissions​

Event Managers have various tools to host events:

• #government-announcements
  • Event Directors can ping @events and @politics in the main StateCraft discord to notify players of an upcoming event.
• Creation of discord events
  • Event Directors are authorized to create scheduled events on the StateCraft discord to notify players when an event will happen.

In game Commands

• /broadcast
  • Event Hosts can use this command to announce that an event is starting in-game.
• /moia-checkinventory
  • Event Directors can check if a player has an empty inventory for specific events
• /moia-tph
  • Event hosts can use the /mia-tph tool to send a teleport request to all online players to teleport them to their location. (/tpaccept)
• /moia-fly
  • Members of the MoIA can use this command to fly only for events and social media. Abuse of this may lead to termination.
• Abuse of these permissions will lead to punishment, including but not limited to: fines and termination.

Planning

1. When planning a public event, you will often need to be prepared in advance. For most events, this requires completing the Prerequisites.
2. Events must be announced at least 48 hours before they take place. All announcements must be published in #government-announcements in the StateCraft discord.
3. Use HammerTime for timezone conversion.
4. Be sure to follow the plan for events, and utilize Event Hosts for help

Challenges
Unplanned absence

1. In the event of an unplanned absence of an Events Host or key player
   1. Wait a few minutes
   2. Contact ministry leadership to have a substitution

Event obstruction

1. If a player is purposefully attempting to obstruct an event
   1. Report them to a police officer or make MOJ ticket

Compensation
In addition to normal salaries, the ministry will compensate individuals for hosting events.
