What position are you applying for? Medical Intern
Why do you think you are suited for the position you are applying for?
I'm a medical specialist in DC, and I am very skilled in medical treatment and procedures within a hospital. In my time in the DoH, I have trained and evaluated more than 10 different trainee doctors, and as a doctor, I've attended over 500 patients, earning me back-to-back Doctor of the Month this January and February. During these two months, I attended to over a third of the total attends in the department. I love to treat and help the patients, and my skills can easily translate. Not only am I a fast learner, but I also have the confidence, personality, and skill to help and train others. I love to help those in need
What are your general strengths and weaknesses?
I'm a fast worker and able to address problems effectively, even if I lack complete power. I'm able to find effective solutions in the lack of guidance from the higher-ups and set an example for those below me. For example, this past week, a trainee doctor was raiding the hospital stores, and I had to react fast. As a medical specialist, the trainee doctors looked up to me for support. There were no officers in the game, so I had to get creative, eventually placing doors that the rogue doctor could not open. I don't shy away from conflict and can step into positions of leadership with confidence and knowledge.
A weakness of mine is setting high expectations for myself, and this can sometimes be placed on other as well. When I was a trainee doctor in hopes of becoming a doctor, it seemed to me that the process took very long, and I was frustrated. Even afterwards, I became frustrated when I couldn't help the other trainee doctors in need of training and evaluations. I realize now that I was narrow minded, and it took even me a while to adjust and begin involving myself in the training program, so I've learned to be a lot more reflective before I give any criticism or advice of any kind.
