Party Policy

A political party is an organized group of individuals intended to influence government policies, advance particular ideologies, and gain political power through elections and other political activities. It provides a platform for individuals with shared beliefs and values to unite, collaborate, and work together towards achieving their goals.

A political party cannot operate as part of a larger organization with a political party embedded within it, such as, but not limited to: a corporation. However, independent political parties are allowed to form unions or coalitions with one another in politics.

An "member" of a political party is an individual who:

• Actively applies for membership through a party's ticket bot system in its designated Discord server;
• Has been approved by party leadership through a documented and transparent process to be a member;
• Actively participates in the political activities of the party.

A ticket bot system is a digital tool designed to manage and track membership applications, ensuring that the approval process is transparent and fair for players.

Unregistered political parties are not allowed to use the #parties channel in the Alexandrian Government server. They may use the #political-advertising channel (for now) and in-game ads to attract support and recruit members. The #parties channel is reserved exclusively for registered political parties.

Party Leadership
Three different players must each hold Party Leader, Deputy Party Leader, and Party Secretary Positions.

The Party Leader and Deputy Party Leader are the two individuals who lead the party and which the party intends on nominating for Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister.

The Party Secretary can create a corporation, also known as a party corporation. This party corporation, if made, must be listed on the Party discord and cannot have any employees, aside from the Party Secretary. The party corporation cannot have any chest shops. The party corporation can only be used for:

1. Purchasing campaign ads
2. Lawsuits against the party
3. Campaigning/rallys

Players cannot be part of party leadership for more than one party.

Party Registration Process
The applicant, who must be a member of party leadership at the time, must post a thread in 'Party Registration' in the Ministry of Internal Affairs forums, must list: their username, Party name, Party abbreviation, Party Leader, Party Vice Leader, Party Secretary, the number of current members, Party discord link, Party Manifesto (aka policies, ideas, etc), additional information, and Party Logo. Fulfilling all requirements is necessary for a party to be approved, and become an official Alexandrian Party. Refer to this example.


Maintaining Official Party Status:
The Party Secretary must send an updated list by responding to the Party thread of: Total party members, party leadership, the number of members currently in Parliament, the number of members who hold an Alexandrian government job, the updated Party Manifesto, the party corporation, the estimated amount of donations and expenditures of the party corporation, and a brief statement of the previous month’s activities in the party’s thread on the forums during the first 7 days of each month to be considered a registered party. Parties which do not complete this will be unregistered and must wait until the 15th of the month to apply to become a registered party. All parties may register at any time in April 2025. The timeline for the Party Registration Process isn't applicable until May 2025. Players can register their political party at any point in April.

Unregistered Parties
Any unofficial/unregistered parties listed on the discord in #parties will be removed starting April 15th, 2025.

#Parties Discord Channel
Registered parties on the #parties discord must have: name, abbreviation, logo, party manifesto, and discord link.
