Overview
This policy establishes the standard procedures and job responsibilities of Auditors when conducting audits to ensure compliance and operational effectiveness within the Kingdom of Alexandria while promoting continuous improvement across all government organizations. Getting Started
Audit assignments are normally handed out at the beginning of the month. You will normally work alone, though you may work as part of a team, especially for larger audits. The Minister or Deputy Minister of Audits will outline the scope and mission of the assignment. Audit objectives may include, but are not limited to:- Monthly audit
- Ethics/Fraud audit
- Operations audit
- Complaint audit
- Appropriateness audit
The Auditing Process
- Assignment: You’ll be matched with audits based on your workload, and avoiding conflicts of interest. You can express interest in specific audits on #audit-interest
- Developing Questions: You will create questions related to your audit assignment. Make sure to share them in your audit channel and use feedback to further refine them. Refer to previous audits for more information
- Identifying Key Personnel: You will compile a list of employees and other relevant individuals to interview for the specific .
- Conducting the Audit: You can choose how to conduct your interviews using the following formats:
- All questions at once
- One question at a time
- A google form
- Observation of a department’s operations may be conducted for information.
- Following Up: Make sure to further investigate when responses to questions are vague or contradict the answers of different interviews.
- Drafting a Report: All audit reports are highly classified. Unauthorized disclosure of classified information is a serious offense and will result in disciplinary action by the Minister of Internal Affairs. Use the template in the #hr-resources channel and refer to previous audits as needed.
- Wrapping Up: Ping the Minister and Deputy Minister when you're done and note your completion in the #payments channel.
State of the Kingdom Report (SOTK)
The State of the Kingdom Report (SOTK) is a monthly report prepared by the auditing team. Auditors will gather approval ratings, ministry expenditures, economic totals, and passed bills from the past month.The auditing team will begin this around a week before the end of the month, and publish it as soon as it’s ready during the following month. Each auditor is assigned a specific section to manage, and compile data. The Minister and Deputy Minister will organize all findings into a proper report.
